These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Tarn iOS application and related services ("Service") provided by Nick Allen ("we", "us", "our"). By using Tarn, you agree to these Terms.
Tarn is a personal life organiser that captures, classifies, and manages items you add via text, voice, or photo. The free tier provides core organisational features. A paid tier with AI enrichment features may be offered in future.
To use Tarn you must create an account using Apple Sign In or an email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others or use the service on behalf of third parties without their consent.

You retain ownership of all content you add to Tarn. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to process and store your content solely to provide the service to you. We do not use your content to train AI models.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. It forms part of these Terms.
We aim to keep the service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or modify the service for maintenance, security, or other operational reasons. We will notify you of significant planned downtime where reasonably practicable.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of opportunity, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from within the Tarn app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with notice where reasonably practicable.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
